politicians and bureaucrats carry blame for Covid19 in Australia
Bungles by Federal and State Governments are responsible for the
extent of the Covid19 problems in Australia. Effective quarantine
procedures in the early days of the pandemic would have prevented the
virus from reaching Australia. Instead of quarantining passengers
immediately on arrival, many were allowed to wander around the
country on their way to ‘self-isolation’ The virus was spread on
public transport, in shops and hotels before politicians realised the
scale of the potential threat. Cruise ship passengers were allowed in - even a group of religious fanatics gathering for a convention was welcomed by the Prime Minister.Slow decision-making and confusing messages are a hallmark of our political leaders.
The resultant
economic woes are an indictment of government action and inaction.
