New domestic spying laws for ASIO

The Australian Government is drafting legislation which will limit the rights of citizens. Legislation introduced by Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton will allow the spy agency ASIO to question children as young as 14 without supervision and will make it easier to install tracking devices in a person's bag or car without approval. Using the COVID19 pandemic as an excuse, Dutton is trying to ram through wide powers to let ASIO detain and question kids as young as 14, track ereyone’s movements without oversight and prevent people from having a lawyer present when being questioned'. Dutton and his department goons could investigate journalists and any activists on trumped up allegations of espionage . Is it any wonder that many Australians refuse to install the so-called Covid Safe app on their smart phones. No one trusts the Government to restrict access to tracking information.
